Pennsylvania’s diverse landscape offers a myriad of enchanting locations for couples seeking an intimate and picturesque setting for their elopement. From the tranquil forests of the Poconos to the ethereal beauty of Longwood Gardens, each venue holds its own charm and allure. Join us as we explore five of our favorite elopement locations in Pennsylvania. Each offering stunning backdrops and unforgettable experiences for couples looking to exchange vows in nature’s embrace.

The Poconos – Eastern Pennsylvania

For over two hundred years, visitors have come from all over to experience the natural wonders of the Poconos region. You’ll have no shortage of activities or locations to pick from with over eight national and state parks in the area. All are free to visit and are also packed with outdoor adventure and relaxation. Popular activities here include mountain biking, snowshoeing, skiing, aerial ropes course, waterfall hikes, boating, camping, and more. Regardless of your hobbies, the Poconos have endless opportunities. This makes it perfect for a Pennsylvania elopement!

Orchard Trail / Hawk Falls – Eastern Pennsylvania

While the Poconos boasts dozens of incredible waterfalls, our favorite hidden gem can be found in Hickory State Park. The Orchard Trail is a 3.0 mile loop that is absolutely gorgeous in August. You will find yourself wandering through woods and rhododendrons to get to the 25ft high two tiered Hawk Falls. This lesser known location offers easy to find privacy for your adventure in Pennsylvania elopements.

Columcille Megalith Park – Eastern Pennsylvania

Set on the slope of Blue Mountain, amidst hardwood forests, vernal ponds, and sheltered dells is a privately owned non-profit celtic inspired outdoor sanctuary covering more than 20 acres of land. It features a series of large rocks stacked reminiscent of Celtic practices. You’ll find stone archways and maintained looping trails covering several miles of total walking distance. All trails are unpaved and follow the contours of the land. Therefore, you will want sturdy footwear. Columcille Megalith Park is a Spiritual Center aligning with our natural environment and Celtic mysticism. This makes it a unique spot for eloping in Pennsylvania. If you love Lord of the Rings, the Renaissance era, or fairy tales, this place is perfect for you! Permit fee $350 for a 2 hour session includes park admission for participants, as well as photography. This is not a good location to host a reception of any kind, but for private exchanges, dogs are welcome in this park.

Susquehanna State Park – Southern Pennsylvania

Located on the banks of the lower Susquehanna River, the park’s 15 miles of trails include the Susquehanna Ridge Trail, which offers full views of the river valley. The Land of Promise trail is 1.6 miles (2.6 km), and the Farm Road Trail is two miles (3.2 km). Other named trails are also present and perfect for capturing images during a Pennsylvania elopement. The Lower Susquehanna Greenways Trail is co-located with the Mason-Dixon Trail. It starts at the park and runs north to the Conowingo Dam. The park also offers boating and fishing on the Susquehanna, campgrounds, and picnic facilities.

Longwood Gardens – Central Pennsylvania

Longwood Gardens is a botanical haven consisting of over 1,077 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. With its sprawling landscapes, floral displays, and manicured gardens, Longwood offers an idyllic setting for couples on their special day. Whether exchanging vows amidst blooming flowers or strolling hand in hand through lush greenery, couples are sure to create cherished memories in this horticultural paradise. Longwood Gardens offers endless options for brief elopements to micro-weddings. Couples seeking the perfect Pennsylvania elopement will find what they’re looking for here.

In the heart of Pennsylvania’s natural splendor, these five locations stand as testament to the state’s breathtaking beauty and allure. Whether the tranquility of the Poconos, the charm of Columcille Megalith Park, or the paradise of Longwood Gardens, each venue creates an unforgettable experience. No matter where you choose to elope in Pennsylvania, you are sure to have a stunning day! We at EZ Elopements are ready to use our network of over 120 associated vendors and venues to help you make the choice that will set the perfect tone for your big day.  For more ideas and inspiration, head to our Website to read our blogs about the couples we help.
