EZ Elopements is here to support you every step of the way, and to make it easy, fun, and stress-free!
Most State and National Parks require a Special Use Permit for any wedding, elopement, or photography session, whether you have no guests or twenty. The permit ensures your event is legal, approved, and compliant with park regulations & the spot you choose is reserved for you, so no other event can take place and there are no surprises when you show up for your intimate ceremony. We handle all permit guidance and entire application process to make it easy and stress-free, as we help you choose locations with the smoothest approval process as we discussed your needs, wants, must haves, and logistics involved.
National Park permits typically require 4–12 weeks for processing, though some parks fill popular dates months in advance and allow for reservations to be completed up to a year in advance. State Park turnaround times vary by location. We take care of this fully, so you don’t have to and help you determine the best timeline, submit applications correctly, and avoid common issues that lead to permit delays.
Guest limits depend on the park, ceremony area, and time of year. Most parks allow 0–20 guests for intimate weddings, while others restrict weddings to the couple and officiant only. Some parks offer locations that exceed 50 guests! We guide you to locations that match your group size and provide alternative options if your party is larger to meet your priorities and advise on any pros & cons.
Couples most frequently choose parks such as Yosemite, Olympic, Great Smoky Mountains, Mount Rainier, Glacier, Shenandoah, Acadia, and several lesser-known State Parks with minimal permits and breathtaking scenery (which also offer pavilion rentals for a smooth & fun candle-lit dinner celebration!). We help you discover locations based on accessibility, weather, privacy, views, and flexibility with rules.
Most parks restrict or completely prohibit outside décor, arches, artificial florals, rugs, confetti, and anything that disrupts the natural environment, but there are secret work arounds we will share as alternative options to get the best views, privacy, and desired set up for your ceremony, yet still get those gorgeous views from the park included on your day. Fresh florals may also need to comply with invasive species rules. Our packages include park-compliant styling options and natural elements that enhance the scenery without breaking regulations.
Golden hour, sunrise or sunset, is the most sought-after time for intimate weddings in parks. These windows provide the best lighting, fewer crowds, cooler temperatures, and more privacy. Weekdays are always the most encouraged, and staying away from school break timeframes and most popular tourist time is often our suggestion. We recommend the ideal timing based on your location, season, and guest needs (or help choose the best location based on the date/timing desired).
Some parks allow dogs in specific areas only, while others restrict pets completely. We help you understand the rules for your chosen park and suggest pet-friendly alternatives if having your dog present is important to you.
Because parks involve trails, elevation changes, and unpredictable weather, couples should plan for sturdy footwear, layers, water, permits, and weather-appropriate essentials. We provide a tailored packing checklist to keep you comfortable, safe, and photo-ready (plus we take care of so much for you, so you can simply show up and have a fun yet relaxing adventure!).
Photography is allowed only in designated areas and according to your park’s permit guidelines. Some locations have additional restrictions to protect delicate environments. We are very much experienced with park rules and know the best accessible spots for your portraits and those hidden, less-known, gems for your special moments that will leave you in awe.
Costs vary depending on the park, travel needs, and permit requirements. Most Special Use Permits range from $50–$300, with some parks charging additional location or photography fees. Our all-inclusive packages cover planning support, photography, officiating, florals, and park-compliant guidance, making the process seamless and stress-free.
