Growing up in the same small town, they ran in similar circles, but their interactions were always at a distance. Fate brought them both to Sacramento State University, and shared time on the school track and field team and Fellowship of Christian Athlete meetings blossomed into a deeper connection. Their adventures, from exploring Uganda to savoring local coffee shops in San Antonio, have woven a tapestry of memories. Presently, as military life beckons, they face the challenges with unwavering faith in each other and the support of God. Today they stand united, ready for the next chapter of their extraordinary journey.

A Farm Affair: Turning Dreams into Reality

When it came to planning their perfect day, the couple only had a few needs: somewhere immersed in nature’s beauty, somewhere private, and a venue where each event could feel like a new location. With most of their guests traveling in from California, it was important not to lose any time traveling. After some brainstorming with the couple, we came to the idea of a private farm rental. While looking for the perfect spot in San Antonio, we came across a stunning private farm. Networking with the farm’s owners, former Wedding vendors themselves, we found not just a venue but a canvas for their love story. The owners graciously opened their property, a stunning farmhouse and barn originally built as a train station in the 1870’s, setting the stage for a day filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments.

Elopement Day Unveiled

At 2:00 PM, the excitement begins as Joy and Cory, supported by an amazing team of hair and makeup artists, start their day getting ready surrounded by the beauty of the farm. The anticipation builds, reaching its peak at 4:00 PM when guests start to arrive. The couple’s first touch, remaining unseen by each other, linking hands around a gorgeous old tree, becomes a poignant moment as Cory shares a heartfelt prayer for their lives together. Under the vast Texas sky, the ceremony takes place surrounded by their close family, friends, and Kyle’s navy family. Without hesitation, Cory and Joy take their biggest leap yet.

Following the ceremony, with golden hour approaching, the couple and their photographer steal away for couple’s photos, returning to the same tree that witnessed their first look.
